Now that you have been born again, your battle is not to become good, though this will happen, but to be in Jesus. You should cease to look at self, and look at Jesus. Now that the Holy Spirit dwells in you, He will produce fruit in you.

SUMMARY
Now that you have been born again and are a Christian, your life is completely different than before. Before you were separated from Christ, now you are united with Him. The purpose of the Christian life is to lead a human being to learn to walk and live his life in Christ Jesus. The secret of the Christian experience is that Jesus will live in us (John 17:20-23).

Satan will insinuate in your ear that you have not entered this experience and have not been born again. Everyday praise God that you are a new creation – never doubt it. The battle of the Christian is not for him to turn himself good. The battle of the Christian is: the just shall live by faith. He must believe that now being Christ’s, He will transform him. The Christian life is the life lived with and in Jesus. Do not be concerned if you still fall sometimes, but rather that you are in Jesus; and He will work in you that you may bear fruit (John 15:1-8). A branch does not have to force itself to bear fruit. If connected to the vine, it will automatically bear fruit. If we continue daily to abide in the Spirit, it is a guarantee that we cannot be lost (Ephesians 1:13, 14). The born again have Christ duelling in them by the Holy Spirit. Satan can do nothing to destroy your spiritual condition unless you allow him.

We cannot keep God’s law. But the Spirit will produce the fruit in us if He dwells in us (Galatians 5:16-25). We should, as a response to salvation, destroy those things that satan has used to keep us slaves (worldly movies, worldly music, etc) (Colossians 3:1-3, 8-16). But first we should ask God to take the desire for them from our hearts.
