Our sun is an average sized star. The Hubble telescope has taken some very beautiful pictures of stars. There are some stars which vary their brightness. It is possible that measuring the distance to stars is far more accurate than numbering them.
There is a galaxy which they say is 13 billion light years away. Psalm 103 says that as high as the heavens are above the Earth, so is God’s mercy towards us.
