When the Bible was written, there were many errors regarding science. Yet the Bible writers did not mention these, rather scientific facts unknown than, but proven today.
Some examples: than it was believed there were about 6000 stars, yet the Bible stated they are as innumerable as the sand of the sea shore; the Bible states there was a global flood, which we can test; the Bible states the sky [universe] is stretched by God [expanding]; the Bible states the Earth is a circle [not flat], is hang on nothing [gravity], is becoming old/deteriorating [2nd law of thermodynamics]; the Bible states each star is different from another. These and many other statements are known to be so today.
