The Desire of Ages and SELECTED MESSAGES’ existence

The insignificant human instrument used in the founding of SELECTED MESSAGES, if given ten lives, would have terminated the first nine in rapid succession, starting at the age of 17, in order to do the same with the tenth, was it not for what is revealed in The Desire of Ages – a book he began, providentially, reading as a teenager. Hardly there is a day when he does not read/listen to it.
